Rana currently leads “Sowt Studios”, the branded content production division, managing and guiding a talented team of producers and collaborators. With 12 years of experience in digital media, Rana has worn many hats within the industry.Her journey into podcasts began during her undergraduate studies at the American University in Dubai in 2016. She joined Sowt in 2019 as a host for the flagship music podcast “Dom Tak” before becoming editorial staff where she juggles responsibilities as a producer, host, writer, editor, director, and voice-over actor.During her time at Sowt, Rana has led and contributed to several audio productions in Arabic and English across various genres of fiction and non-fiction. In addition to Sowt Originals, Rana has assisted multiple brands in crafting compelling audio projects, collaborating with notable Sowt clients such as AlJazeera Digital, Doha Debates, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Billboard Arabia, Thomson Reuters Foundation, as well as esteemed foundations like Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.Prior to joining Sowt, Rana gained experience at regional media outlets like Assafir and VICE Arabia, as well as multinational agencies associated with WPP and Publicis.
